Yesterday was my rest day, so I made the protein pancakes pictured below. I’m always making protein pancakes or waffles. They’re so easy and require absolutely no flour. I like to make them on rest days specifcially when I need lower ratio of carbs to proteins.
- 1 scoop whey protein powder
- 1/4 cup egg whites
- 1 tsp baking powder
- water to dilute consistency
Combine all ingredients in a bowl, whisk, and pour onto griddle or waffle iron!
*I’ve heard if you beat the egg whites with an electric mixer you’ll get really fluffy pancakes…I don’t have time for that and I don’t want to do extra dishes but try it out haha!
Depending on what protein powder you use, you will be adding a minimal amount of carbs
